Add a touch of winter elegance to your holiday projects with this Snowflake In-the-Hoop Embroidery Design! This beautiful design features a crisp white snowflake outlined in festive red — perfect for creating seasonal ITH coasters, ornaments, or gift tags.

Stitch this quick and easy project entirely in the hoop, making it a fun and beginner-friendly way to decorate your home or craft handmade gifts. The clean satin edge gives it a professional finish every time!

1) Run the first placement stitch.
Let your embroidery machine stitch the placement outline for the ornament.

2) (Optional) Add foam for thickness.
Place a layer of foam over the placement stitch to make your ornament thicker and sturdier. If you prefer not to use foam, simply skip this step or let the machine run through.

3) Trim the excess foam.
Use small scissors to carefully remove any remaining foam outside the stitch line.

4) Add your top material.
Place a layer of felt or leather on top of the foam and continue to the next step.

5) Stitch the design details.
Run the next sequence to stitch the snowflake details.

6) Prepare the back.
When the front is complete, remove the hoop (do not unhoop the stabilizer).
Spray a light layer of temporary adhesive on the back and secure a second piece of the same material on the back.

7) Finish the stitching.
Return the hoop to your machine and let the final sequence run to stitch the front and back together.

8) Trim and finish.
Remove the project from the hoop and carefully trim around the edges.
Optional: Use a lighter to gently seal the edges for a clean finish.

Pro Tip: Create a set of four and tie them with a festive ribbon for a thoughtful handmade hostess gift.
